Why did you buy this book?

After reading Charlotte Douglas’ ‘Maggie Skarrett Mysteries’ from the Harlequin Next series I decided I would try some more from this line. This book caught my attention with the cover, title and blurb.

Do you like the cover?

Yes, it’s what made me pick up the book.

Did you enjoy the book?

Yes I enjoyed the book. Teddi has issues not only with her family and ex-husband but with a customer too. She has a new interior design business and she just found her first paying customer dead…before she paid for all the work Teddi has done for her. To make matters worse the sexy detective in charge thinks her best friend Bobbi is the killer.

This story was a fun read and anyone that loves a good mystery with a chick-lit voice should pick it up.

Was the author new to you and would you read something by this author again?

The author was new to me. This is the second book starring Teddi so I’ll be on the look out for another one hopefully starring Teddi. I have looked for the first one but haven’t been able to find a copy.
